Funding Update – and it’s a massive thank you!

To all our friends and supporters,

The good news keeps coming! With your help we have raised the £100,000 we needed to progress to the next stage of the project, so thank you to all those who have donated to the campaign.

We are now at the end of our Heritage Lottery Fund development phase. The architects and mechanical consultants have designed a project to best suit the needs of Halsway and ensure that the building is no longer leaky, chimneys are no longer wonky and all the services work as they should. We will hear in March 2018 whether HLF will give us the further £400,000 needed for the next stage but our chances are very good as we have successfully fulfilled all their requirements in stage 1, so fingers crossed.

If we are successful work will start in April 2018 and be finished by August. The manor will be handsomely clad in scaffolding over this period but should look even more beautiful at the end of the works. We will be closed during July as this is the only way we can manage the more obtrusive work involving water and electricity works.

Thank you once again for all your help and for raising the much needed funds. We are now planning the next phase to build a new kitchen and return the Mardon room and existing kitchen to their former glory. We need to raise about £140,000 for this to happen, so please keep your donations coming – you can donate via our online giving page or contact us for more information.
