Over the years it has been noted that the hall at Halsway can be a little… dark, particularly in the deeps of winter. It’s difficult to increase the amount of light without fundamentally changing the character of our beautiful manor house, but help was at hand.
As a result we set out to install a new wrought iron chandelier, funded by a generous donation from Christine Corkett in memory of her husband Alan, and last week this took pride of place in the hall. It looks great and seems like it should always have been there, and will bring some extra light in the darkness over our coming Christmas season.
