It’s all about folk song, and it’s all in good company! Whether you want a good sing in the bar, to hear and share new songs, to improve your voice or to create songs of your own, this is the weekend for you.
Bob & Gill Berry host this all singing weekend, with special guests TBC.
Singers of all ages (teenagers to pensioners) and abilities are welcome to join the fun, in the comfortable and relaxed surroundings of Halsway Manor. ‘Singin’ in the Bar’ (with everyone having a chance to lead chorus songs or share their favourites – if they want to) when the bar is open, opportunities to explore songs and individual singing in between, learn how to look after your voice and performance, or have a ramble around the glorious countryside – it’s up to you! You’re welcome to bring accompanying instruments if you wish. The extensive folk library will also be open throughout the weekend should you wish to delve into the collection.
Arrival is from 4pm on Friday, with dinner at 6.30pm followed by the first singing session at 8pm. The course includes a Leaders’ Concert at 5pm on Sunday, followed by a buffet supper. Sunday night B&B is available for anyone wishing to stay on for a survivors’ song session.

This is a friendly weekend is for singers of all ages and abilities to enjoy and explore traditional song in a convivial and supportive atmosphere, with opportunities to learn how to look after and improve your voice and performance.

The Team
Bob & Gill Berry are a duo that sing and play traditional and contemporary folk music and songs from the English tradition. They are particularly interested in their adopted county of Wiltshire and the surrounding counties for their music sources.
