Who’s it For?
Everyone who would like to dance and sing at Christmas!
Ted & Pat Morse: Ted began dancing with the Oxford Morris Men and Oxford City Folk Dance Club when he was 17, started calling and running barn dances at 19, and has barely paused since! Ted plays accordion, percussion and tuba, is an experienced band leader, teaches Morris, Sword and Country dancing (and more!) and is a regular tutor at Halsway Manor – along with Pat. Between them they promise a fun and varied break packed with folk activities and Christmas Cheer!
Moira & Pete Gutteridge have been playing for dances for over 30 years as ‘Dampier’s Round’. They have played at all the major festivals, including Whitby, Eastbourne, Sidmouth and Broadstairs, as well as Dance Weekends and other Folk Camps. They are in demand to play for club dances all over the country, and also as music workshop leaders, based on their experience both as players and trained music teachers. As regular musicians and tutors at Halsway, you are in great hands; they play joyful, rhythmic music that will inspire you to dance!
