Join us for an informal early evening concert from our Give Voice Weekend leaders Tom & Barbara Brown, and guests Paul Sartin & Tom Lewis.

The concert is followed by a song session in the bar, you are welcome to stay on and sing, or just listen.

Paul Sartin: One half of Belshazzar’s Feast, one-third of Faustus and a former member of the late lamented Bellowhead,  all round brilliant singer and musician, Paul is also the leader of the Andover Museum Loft Singers, and a workshop facilitator for Live Music Now! An expert in knowing how to get the best from your voice.

Tom Lewis: Tom is perhaps best known for The Last Shanty (A Sailor Ain’t A Sailor), which has been recorded by over 30 different groups around the world. Ilan Eskeri used the melody from his song ‘A Sailor’s Prayer’ (Send Down A Dove) as a major theme in the musical score of the recent BBC Films’ production of ‘Swallows and Amazons’. So an expert on words and melodies to help you produce your own songs.

Tom & Barbara Brown: Grounded in the living tradition of singing in the West Country, these two have a long history of encouraging and enthusing amateur and new performers to share songs and singing, and creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which to do it.
