Join the Roaring Trowmen – Bryn Stephens, Chris Jarvis, Dave Partington & Gwyn Wilkinson – for an evening of sea shanties and songs of the salty deep!
“Amazing!” Spiers & Boden
“a masterclass in four-part shanty singing, interspersed with properly funny jokes.” Shrewsbury Festival
The Roaring Trowmen are four hearty men who sing sea shanties and songs of the salty deep! They have been delighting crowds up and down the country for four years now, with their own brand of harmonies and humour. Whilst celebrating the traditional working songs of sailors, the Roaring Trowmen also delight in performing their own Maritime Folk songs inspired by the nautical heritage of their home city of Bristol.
They deliver songs with humour and vitality. One minute you’ll be clapping and stomping, the next you’ll be melted by the glorious harmonies – or moaning at Bryn’s bad jokes!
“Such authenticity, you could smell the seaweed. Rollicking, rumbustious & ruddy marvellous. One of the highlights of the festival.” Bradford Roots Festival
