Taffy Thomas MBE, England’s first storyteller laureate Taffy is the patron of The Society for Storytelling. Taffy received The English Folk Dance and Song Society Gold Badge award in December 2010. With Taffy’s head bursting with stories, riddles and folklore, professional storyteller Giles Abbot once commented, “when Taffy goes it will be like a library burning down.”

Tamar Williams won Young Storyteller of the Year in 2013, and has since gone on to perform nationally at festivals and story clubs including Whitby Folk Week, Lakefest, Birmingham Book Festival and In The Woods Festival. She tells bilingual stories from her native Wales and interweaves them with tales she has collected on her journeys around libraries, folk clubs and festival tents. Most recently, she has worked as a storyteller/puppeteer for PuppetSoup’s award-winning Land of the Dragon/Gwlad y Ddraig which toured to the Scottish Storytelling Centre for Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015.
