An enjoyable partnership weekend of dances in the English style. Come and celebrate the turn of the year with a weekend of dances in the English style.
There will be time to enjoy the colours and scents of autumn in the Quantocks, visit Somerset Arts Week studios or look for fossils near Kilve. If wet you can relax, try the jigsaw, play or study in the Manor Library.
Our musicians this year are Pete and Sue Hall They are an accordion and recorder duo from Fareham who have been playing for dancing for over 40 years. In that time they have played for a wide range of dance events and clubs, as well as a short time playing for dance displays at festivals. Pete and Sue always try to provide a danceable sound at a pace suitable for the capabilities of the dancers. If you haven’t danced to them before at your local dance or here at Halsway, you will enjoy the lift that they will bring to our weekend.
Who’s it For?
The weekend is aimed at experienced dancers who enjoy traditional English and Playford style dancing to improve on technique and working together.
Judith Inman hosts with guest caller Rosemary Hunt plus the regular team of callers: Alan Archer, Diana Triplow, Judith Inman and new-comer to the group Mike Tozer.
