ABOUT

A wonderful weekend of Northumbrian Smallpipes, back for another year. Hosted by Christine Corkett, with tutors including Pauline Cato, Rob Say, Alice Burn, Paul Knox and Paul Tabbush. This course usually sells-out well in advance, so book early to ensure your place.

THE COURSE/PROFICIENCY

This popular workshop weekend is designed to give everyone from absolute beginners to intermediate and more advanced players a thoroughly enjoyable opportunity to develop their abilities, technique and repertoire. The course starts on Friday evening with an introductory session to assess people’s needs and a tune session in the bar, followed by workshops all day Saturday and Sunday.

Thought about having a go on the Smallpipes? Contact us for information and prices about the taster day for absolute beginners.

THE TUTORS

Every year we put together a team of 5 highly experienced tutors. This means that workshop groups stay small, and participants can get the benefit from working with a number of different tutors. Paul Knox will take care of beginners, with a course for total beginners on borrowed instruments on the Saturday.
